KnitWarm Featured in HK01: Hong Kong Designers Shine at Milan Showcase

We're excited to share the latest media spotlight on KnitWarm! In a recent HK01 article, our innovative smart textile brand was highlighted as part of a prestigious Hong Kong design delegation that took center stage in Milan, Italy. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council under the "Think Business, Think Hong Kong" initiative, and supported by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, the event ran from November 26 to 29. It showcased Hong Kong's creative talents on an international platform, with deep dives into the intersection of AI and humanities.

Led by the Hong Kong Design Centre and co-organized by the Hong Kong Designers Association, the delegation included visionary designers like our very own Stanley Kwok, alongside Kylie Chow, William Yeung, Tat Lai Wong, Manfred Yuen, and Etain Ho. Moderated by Magic Kwan, the seminar titled "Human-Centered Design in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Balancing Technology, Tradition, and Cross-Cultural Innovation" explored how designers can harness AI while preserving cultural essence and human warmth.

KnitWarm stood out with special mention of our award-winning products, including the WarmerBand, which seamlessly integrates smart heating technology into everyday wearables. With over 80 international awards under our belt, we're proud to represent Hong Kong's blend of innovation and practicality—proving that technology can enhance comfort without compromising style or sustainability.

Other highlights from the article included inspiring projects like Etain Ho's "Pier 6" ferry transformation, Tat Lai Wong's recycled material installations such as the "Tai Kwun Chair" and "Harbour Wave," Manfred Yuen's community-focused architecture like the DX Design Gallery, William Yeung's inclusive rebranding for the UK National Autistic Society, and Kylie Chow's monumental dragon pillar for the HUAMI restaurant.

Beyond the seminar, the group visited Milan Polytechnic University's POLI.design and the Armani Silos for creative inspiration, and networked with global players like Cappelli Identity Design and Truly Design Studio, opening doors for future collaborations.

This coverage underscores Hong Kong's role as a bridge between East and West, where human-centered design meets cutting-edge tech. At KnitWarm, we're committed to this ethos—creating products that warm not just the body, but also the spirit through thoughtful innovation.
